OUR HISTORY

2014

February

Tadawul was Founded with a unique vision to create a secure, reliable electronic payment environment to support FI & Banks.

2015

February

Tadawul Acceptance Network launched a value-added service (mobile top up, bill payment).

2016

February

Tadawul received a license for e-payment processing after expanding to 800 POS in the major tier 1 and tier 2 cities.

2017

February

First prepaid LYD card was launched in Libya, and all governmental authorities, O&G firms and PM's audit department approved the Tadawul salary card.

2018

February

Tajer card was launched simultaneously with POS expansion to 2,500 as a result of a collaboration with one of the largest retail banks to supply prepaid cards. 150,000 LYD cards issued.

2019

February

Launched a custom onshore payment processor. With the 2nd largest bank (NCB) the First debit card was launched, and an ATM was installed.

2020

February

New Android POS application and all payment modules have been deployed in production with six banks. More than 300,000 cards with contracted retail bank logo.

2021

February

Tadawul Network increased to over 9,000 merchants, and a new biometric wallet solution was launched.
